Falls are a leading cause of death on the job, accounting for nearly 10% of all traumatic occupational deaths each year. In response to this serious risk, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has mandated that employers establish a program that trains all employees in safe work practices when using ladders, stairways, and scaffolds during their workday.
This comprehensive course teaches employees to recognize the hazards associated with ladders and scaffolding commonly used at worksites and instructs them in the procedures they should follow to control and minimize those risks. The lives and livelihoods of employees and employers may depend on how well they learn and follow these procedures.
